The Fragility of Our Liberty

"Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We did not pass it on to our children in the bloodstream. The only way they can inherit the freedom we have known is if we fight for it, protect it, defend it, and then hand it to them with the well-taught lessons of how they in their lifetime must do the same. And if you and I do not do this, then you and I may well spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what is once was like in America when men were free."

We just celebrated the 4th of July and I read that some of our liberal politicians said our country was not worth celebrating. How on earth can someone who lives in our country say things like that?

If you do not like this country, do not try to change it, leave. There are plenty of other countries to live in which do not have the freedoms we do and we value.

I say, happy 4th of July and let us pass our liberties on to our children.

Amen and until next month,
